Name: Tatiana Coimbra Castello Branco
Job title: Finance Director
Organisation: B3 - Brasil Bolsa Balcão S.A.
1. Brief description of nominee’s role and job.
As Finance Director, I oversee FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Shared Services, New Businesses, Procurement and Supplier Management, with a strategic focus on operational excellence, compliance and long-term shareholder value creation.
I led the post-merger integration of acquired entities, maximising synergies and delivering substantial goodwill recognition, capital gains and tax efficiencies. I also directed the development of high-impact reporting and decision-support materials for the Executive Committee, Audit and Tax Committees, Finance and Risk Committee, and Board of Directors, while maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders and auditors to ensure transparency and regulatory compliance.
I manage and inspire a team of approximately 100 professionals in Brazil, embedding a culture of excellence built on grit, innovation, curiosity, collaboration and a long-term “infinite game” mindset.
2. Short bio (career highlights, education, interests/hobbies).
I am a finance executive with leadership experience across consumer goods and financial markets. My expertise spans treasury, strategic and financial planning, accounting, tax and valuation, with a strong track record in budget management, investor relations and pension fund oversight. I have led global SAP implementations, established shared service hubs and managed multicultural teams in Brazil and internationally.
I am an engineer with a Master’s degree and an MBA in Finance, and a CFA candidate. I am fluent in English and a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, serving as a mentor and ambassador for Women in Leadership programmes.
I am also a proud mother of a seven-year-old boy, a wife, sister and daughter. I bring the same values of care, resilience and connection from my personal life into my professional leadership.
3. What were your professional highlights and challenges of 2025?
A key highlight of 2025 was leading a team of nearly 100 professionals following the integration of two acquired companies. Managing this scale reinforced the importance of trust, empowerment and alignment around a shared vision.
I successfully directed the post-merger integration of both entities – a complex process requiring strategic foresight and disciplined execution. By unlocking synergies, we generated more than R$ 1 billion in value through goodwill recognition and capital gains.
I am particularly proud that these efforts strengthened our culture. Our Great Place to Work® Trust Index™ score increased year on year, reaching 91 in 2025 – a strong benchmark reflecting high levels of trust, pride and camaraderie across the organisation.
4. Tell us about a few of your key achievements throughout your career?
Throughout my career, I have led finance organisations through transformation while delivering measurable impact.
At B3 S.A., I lead multiple core finance and operational functions, focusing on performance, efficiency and shareholder value. Successfully executing post-merger integrations and unlocking significant synergies stands among my proudest achievements.
At Ambev S.A., I structured an overseas leverage framework to manage liquidity and solvency. As an external hire, I became a Partner within three months and was elected Speaker of a class of 20 Partners during the Partner MBA programme.
At BAT, I led pricing and excise strategy for Latin America and Cuba, managed R$ 2 billion in pension fund assets for nearly 10,000 participants, renegotiated bank contracts to generate R$ 400 million in cash improvements, and led asset valuation initiatives generating R$ 300 million in profit and cash flow. I also implemented zero-based budgeting in Brazil and guided multicultural SAP transformation projects across the Americas.
Beyond financial performance, I am deeply committed to developing female leadership. At B3, I strengthened strategic development initiatives for women, hosting sessions with Audit Committee members, Finance and Risk Committee members and Board representatives. We achieved 60% participation among senior female leaders and an NPS of 9.7.
In 2025, we expanded this work through the EL4S sponsorship programme, engaging nearly 300 participants across online and in-person sessions, again achieving an NPS of 9.7. We concluded the year with a milestone session alongside our CEO, setting direction for 2026.
These experiences reinforce my belief that finance leadership is about delivering results while shaping culture and empowering people.
5. What and who inspires, and has inspired, you to achieve your professional success?
My greatest inspiration is my mother. A psychologist and PhD, she balanced intellectual rigour with compassion while raising five children. Watching her pursue her PhD in Belgium on a full scholarship, despite financial hardship after my father left, taught me that discipline, curiosity and perseverance can overcome adversity.
Growing up in Duque de Caxias, a suburb of Rio de Janeiro, I saw first-hand the power of resilience. My mother’s strength and integrity shaped my belief that leadership must combine competence with empathy and ethics.
Her example continues to guide me to create value not only in business, but in the lives of others.
6. How have you overcome setbacks, and what advice would you give to others dealing with setbacks?
I overcome setbacks by remaining intellectually engaged and committed to growth. Reading, learning and exchanging ideas help me maintain perspective. The principles in Daily Stoic reinforce the importance of focusing on what I can control and remaining calm under pressure.
Physical discipline also plays a key role. Running, training and practising hot yoga keep me grounded, focused and energised.
My advice is simple: do not let setbacks define you – let them refine you. Stay grounded, keep learning and maintain the courage to lead and inspire change.
7. What advice do you have for other women who aspire to be in leadership positions? What is the biggest takeaway you want to leave with the reader?
Believe deeply in your voice and potential. Leadership requires authenticity, resilience and courage. Do not avoid challenges – step into them.
At the same time, nurture your personal life and relationships. Sustainable leadership depends on balance and genuine connection. Build networks rooted in trust and mutual support.
The biggest takeaway I would leave is this: leadership success is built on courage and consistency. Stay anchored in your values, keep growing and surround yourself with people who elevate you. When you lead with integrity, collaboration and confidence, you create impact that extends far beyond your role.
