TASE announces new trading hours

Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) has announced changes to its trading hours as follows:

1. As of 2 February 2020, the Opening Auction in Shares included in TASE Indices started at 10:00.

The Opening Auction will take place at 10:00 on the shares that are included in the Tamar Universe, in units of exchange-traded funds that are traded on the equity market, in units of foreign exchange-traded funds that are traded on the equity market and in units of closed-end mutual funds. This enables TASE to align with the time of the opening action on the main European stock exchanges.

The Opening Phase in these securities will take place at a random time between 09:59 and 10:00, every trading day.

Accordingly, the opening trading in derivatives was also postponed by 15 minutes and will start at 09:45.

The opening of trading in securities outside the Tamar Universe and in convertible securities that are traded on the equity market remain unchanged and will take place on 10:15, every trading day.

2. On 8 March 8 2020 TASE will shorten the trading day on Sundays by 35 Minutes.

The trading in equity and bond markets on Sundays will close at a random time between 15:49 and 15:50, about 35 minutes earlier than the current closing of the trading day. Similarly, the trading in derivatives on Sundays will also terminate 35 minutes earlier, i.e. on 16:00.
