The WFE takes part in International Conference on Emerging Perspectives on FinTech

The WFE recently participated in an International Conference on Emerging Perspectives on FinTech, hosted by the National Institute of Financial Management, in New Delhi, India. The conference was organised under the mandate of the FinTech Committee established by the Government of India. The objective was to explore various issues relating to development of FinTech industry in India with a view to ensuring the FinTech regulatory environment was supportive of the development of the sector, and how FinTech could be leveraged to enhance financial inclusion. Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD and CEO of WFE member, BSE, and Ravi Varanasi, National Stock Exchange of India, were both speakers at the conference.

Siobhan Cleary, the WFE’s Head of Research, joined representatives from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, the World Bank, Refinitiv and PayPal in India in a panel on Global Experiences & International Cooperation in FinTech.
