Welcome to the September issue of WFE Focus.
In this month’s edition, Greg Wojciechowski, the Bermuda Stock Exchange’s CEO, welcomes the industry to the WFE’s 62nd General Assembly & Annual Meeting. The meeting, which has brought the industry together globally for over 60 years, will be held in Bermuda for the first time from Sept. 19 - 21.
We also have a number of contributions that focus on technology and how it may affect exchanges in the future.
Guy Melamed, Exberry’s CEO, offers his take on the next stage of cloud-based trading technology; Daria Degtyarenko, Exactpro’s senior communications manager, shines the spotlight on the use of simulation in fintech systems delivery; and Tom Skinner, managing director of pTools, addresses the challenges faced by exchanges as they seek to produce trusted and verifiable market information to a global standard.
On a different subject, Gerardo Aparicio Yacotú, director of financial culture of the Mexican Stock Exchange’s school, discusses the many ways the exchange is helping people become more financially literate.
And finally, Antoinette Di Massa, WFE’s membership & events coordinator, reflects on her career and changes the industry has undergone since she joined 25 years ago.
