TMX Group’s John McKenzie on Making Markets Better

CEO John McKenzie says TMX believes strongly in leading by example, whether it's developing a hybrid model of in-office and remote work that meets the demands of clients and its people or it's moving ahead on the path of sustainability in the face of climate change. Markets are not static, and TMX wants to ensure that Canada retains its competitive edge, he says.

JPX surveyed 259 Japanese-listed companies to see their progress on climate-related disclosures with a goal of enhancing efforts to reveal more information. The survey found that three out of four respondents were disclosing climate-related risks and opportunities.
